Making his mark in the Highlands

4 months ago By Harry Ayers

Associates member and former Western Force representative Lewis Carmichael is making noise over in the UK debuting for Scotland national side.

Carmichael came to Perth in February 2017 when he signed a one year contract with the Western Force.

Lured down to the Boneyard by former Soaks’ legend Gus Cottrell, Carmichael played in a couple of premier grade matches slotting into the lock position.

Eventually he pushed into the Force starting squad restricting his playing time with Associates, however Carmichael always made his support known for the club coming down to support his teammates.

Prior to the Force Carmichael played for numerous Scottish sides including their under U18 and U20S sides.

Beyond the 2017 season, Carmichael’s efforts lead to a contract offer with prominent club Edinburgh for 2018.

Playing for Edinburgh Carmichael has had many notable matches earning man of the match honours in both European and Scottish fixtures for the club.

Already bagging himself an international try for Scotland, Carmichael’s potential is limitless and could be one the country’s top players

It was an honour to have had Carmichael play for and be a member of the Associates family and the club fully supports him in his journey to international stardom.
